Hidden in plain sight

I needed seven years to finally recognize this building around the corner. Maybe I missed it because I do not have a car; maybe because I preferred not to be reminded of the omnipresence of oil. Who knows.

"Hidden in plain sight" is a portrait of a gas station and also directs the listener towards a paradox: some sounds are so obvious that you do not recognize them anymore - even if they usually occur at high volume.

"Hidden in plain sight" is a quadraphonic piece - four characters converge at the gas station - and is meant to be played back in cycle mode. It can be downloaded here.
