The Twirl is a chimera emitting sounds between bells, gongs, and cymbals. When hit with a mallet some frequencies might remain stable, whereas others might begin to bounce around over time.

Twirls are handheld instruments. Once being excited they begin to dance. Striking their wings make for spinning – resulting in psychoacoustic effects.

The Twirls and their tuning are ear-curated. We prefer their natural resonances not to be pushed towards precise frequencies. Made to fit into a handbag.

The Whivel is a struck idiophone chimera emitting sounds between bells, gongs, and cymbals. When hit with the Gebeater, its wings begin to flutter gently, revealing low frequencies to listen to and watch. An explosive percussive instrument for distanced listeners, and a deep rumbler at close proximity.

Whivels can be hung on trees or carried around while wandering through the hallway at night. Careful usage is advised when used at seances.
